Calvin Lucas Dogus

Game Developer & Full-Stack Web Developer

Personal info

  • Hello! I'm Calvin Dogus, a French developer based in Seoul, South Korea. Born in Turkey and raised in France, I now build games, websites and interfaces in Korea.

My projects range from PC and mobile games to websites and WebGL applications. I am a game developer first, a web wizard second, and a UI/UX designer with a sense of aesthetic and chaos.

I'm always open to new opportunities. Feel free to check out my projects or reach out.

  • Worlds and how they are built: game design, environment art, procedural systems and multiplayer architecture.

The web as a platform: WebGL, real-time 3D in the browser and fast, well-crafted interfaces.

Local-first software, developer tooling and AI that runs on the device rather than in the cloud.

  • I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science with a Human-Computer Interaction specialisation and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, both from Toulouse, France. Open the files below for details.

    Bachelor

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering and Computer Science (developer track), Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier, 2020. Programming foundations, algorithms, databases and software engineering.

    Master

Master IHM (Human-Computer Interaction) in Computer Science, Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier and ENAC, 2022: developer and UI/UX designer track. Projects included the HoloLens 2 microscope visualiser for the CEMES laboratory and the VR flight simulator for ISAE-SUPAERO.

Professional info

  • Over the last years I have shipped games and web products in France and South Korea: multiplayer installations and WebGL metaverses at Circus Company, a database migration at Capgemini, VR and mixed-reality research projects for ISAE-SUPAERO and the CEMES laboratory. Today I lead the development team building Clor AI, a professional photo editor, at Infinique in Seoul.

On the side I run Caesium Games and its Arcanyst universe: Arcanyst Chaos, Arcane Heist, three casual mobile games published on Google Play, and the studio's websites and account platform.

I have been building games since the Unity 4 days, creating APIs from scratch, managing AWS and Azure infrastructure, and mentoring other Unity and web developers.

  • Game engines: Unity (C#, Netcode for GameObjects, WebGL, AR/VR, HoloLens 2) and Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprint, C++).

Web: TypeScript, React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Fastify, PostgreSQL, Svelte, Tauri, Electron, Capacitor, Three.js and Astro.

Cloud and tooling: AWS, Azure, Docker, CI/CD, .NET and SQL Server. Design with Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and Blender.

On-device AI integration (TensorFlow, ONNX) for real-time image processing in the browser.

  • I lead a development team today, which means setting clear priorities, reviewing code and unblocking people before writing my own.

I work comfortably across cultures and languages: French native, fluent in English, and living and working in Korean in Seoul.

Full-stack curiosity: I enjoy owning a feature from the design mock-up to the deployed API, and documenting it so the next developer is never lost.

Hobbies

  • A long-time fan of the Warcraft universe (yes, I quote peons at work) and a player of action-adventure and puzzle games: The Witness, The Talos Principle and Zelda are direct inspirations for Arcanyst.

I also enjoy taking things apart: game jams, hyper-casual challenges and editor tools such as Git Status Overlay all come from that habit.

  • Drawing interfaces in Figma, modelling in Blender and writing lore for the Arcanyst universe.

Building tools for myself, like Kairnet, when the existing ones don't fit the way I work.

Experience and education

    • Developer Team Lead
    • Frontend Developer
    • AI Integration
    • Leading the development team (팀장) building Clor AI, a browser-based professional photo editor.
    • Built a full Photoshop-style editor in React: multi-layer system, brush engine, liquify, masks and transforms.
    • Integrated multiple AI models running locally, client-side, for body and face reshaping, skin retouching (blemish removal), teeth restoration and tattoo removal.
    • Shipped across platforms: Web (Edge & Chrome), Desktop via Electron and Mobile via Capacitor.
    • Optimised on-device inference and canvas rendering for real-time, non-destructive editing.
